Otto Felix began his photography career simultaneously with his acting career.He attended UCLA to study film and enrolled in a Black and White photography program.
He has photographed such celebrities as Tom Selleck, Bo Derek, Johnny Carson, Philip Michael Thomas, Dwight Yoakam, Kris Kristofferson, Emily Lou Harris, Willie Nelson, Glen Cambell, Linda Gray, Jay Leno, Veronica Hammel, Keith Carradine, Pete Anderson and rock groups The Diamonds, ZZ TOP, Platters, Bush, Spider, Lonesome Strangers and dozens of professional athletes including the 96/97 LA Dodgers.
1968-1969 Attended UCLA Film School.
1972-1979 Assistant to world-renowned and award winning photographer Vern Hammarlund.
1974-1976 LAPD photographer for both accident and criminal cases.
1980 to Present: Photographs dozens of up and coming actors, models, musicians, bands (CD covers) and comedians. Headshots to complete portfolios.
Otto has Photographed 1000's of actors, comedians, musicians and bands. In addition to dozens of weddings, barmitzvah's and awards shows. Otto's photographs have appeared in People, Time, Life, Country Times, Sports Illustrated, LA Weekly and the LA Times.
Otto received First Place honors in the American Association of Photographers black and white showings in New York City, 1989, with his photo "Bandaged Boy in Truck". In 1996 he received third place honors with is black & white photo of "Dwight Yoakam and Pete Anderson" in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Otto presently has his own studio, The Film Actors Shop at 10835 Santa Monica Blvd. in Westwood, CA. (NE corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Westwood Blvd. 310-470-1839
